Course description: Macro trends of perceiving the society and fashion altogether through the eye of 18-24 years old in a demographic area : INDIA
Purpose
A situation to reimagine the macro trends of 2021 through the lens of a person aged between 18-24 who is well aware of the demographic area in which they are residing. The trends can range from fashion to politics and environmental impacts.
First impressions
The first thoughts that pop into my mind is to collect all the data that surround the current temperament of the people aged between 18-24 years of age in a developing nation. I chose INDIA as my demographic area. I enumerated all the current events and their outcomes that can affect the youth population financially, politically, and culturally in the post Covid-19 era.
How it went
I cover the areas of twist and turns of fashion wrapped in sustainability. I describe about the social impact of Covid-19 and political mobilization. All the above activities can dictate electronic media, social media influencing along with entertainment and vice versa. I also demonstrate the impact of conscious start up brands emerging in India and their social media presence which in turn leads to influencing the current generation to stand out yet blend in. It is in a transitional phase of acclimatization of sustainability and circularity in fashion along with identifying themselves as a part of a 'woke' lifestyle and newly arising sustainable mindset.
